National Show Dates and Results



Sheep shows are a public forum for the display and comparison of individual animals from many different studs. They are a meeting point for studmasters, classers, young Merino enthusiasts, wool brokers, agents and commercial sheep breeders, providing opportunities for interaction and education with awards for excellence in Merino breeding.

Show sheep are regulation March or August shorn, inspected and tagged to comply with national standards set by the AASMB.  The recommended test house for mid-side wool samples is the Australian Wool Testing Authority Limited www.awta.com.au
